The quality and type of paper also impacts the life and readability of the label. Most thermal labels are produced for shipping, short life food products or pathology labels.
How should I supply my artwork?
If you want your label artwork to print correctly and give the best results, your artwork needs to be in the right file type and use the correct colour model (Pantone or CMYK). We recommend using a graphic designer who understands printing and colour models. If you have software like Adobe Illustrator or Corel Draw, and the creative skills, you can opt to supply your own artwork following our guidelines. Artwork can be complex! You can always get our artwork department to create your design for you, which may save you lots of time and effort.
What does artwork proofing mean?
Before we go to print, you'll need to "proof" or review your label artwork. Your final artwork will be emailed to you where we will ask for your confirmation on the final copy. What you see on your proof will be what is printed on your label, so it's important to understand that once you've signed off on the artwork, that is exactly what you are instructing us to print.
